Grilled banana boats

This is such a quick and easy dessert! What I really love about it is the easy of clean up and that you don’t have to heat your whole kitchen up to make it! Warm banana mixed with gooey marshmallows and chocolate chips made for an excellent dessert! I left the trail mix out because I didn’t have any on-hand at the time. But, now that I think about it, you should try some of your favorite granola! If you try it, let me know how it goes!

Mmmm.

What you need:
4 large unpeeled bananas
8 teaspoons semisweet chocolate chips
8 teaspoons trail mix (left this out)
1/4 cup miniature marshmallows

What to do:

  1. Place each banana on a 12-in. square of foil; crimp and shape foil around bananas so they sit flat.
  2. Cut each banana lengthwise about 1/2 in. deep, leaving 1/2 in. uncut at both ends. Gently pull each banana peel open, forming a pocket. Fill pockets with chocolate chips, trail mix (if using) and marshmallows.

    Cut open the banana!

    Fill!

  3. Grill bananas, covered, over medium heat for 4-5 minutes or until marshmallows are melted and golden brown.Yield: 4 servings
