Love and War

“All’s fair in love and war.” Prov. Cliché In some situations, such as when you are in love or waging war, you are allowed to be deceitful in order to get what you want.

Lightning strikes
Inside, my chest to keep me up at night
Dream of ways
To make you understand my pain

Clouds of sulfur in the air
Bombs are falling everywhere
It’s heartbreak warfare
Once you want it to begin,
No one really ever wins
In heartbreak warfare.

Disappointment has a name, it’s heartbreak warfare.

Fair??  Is it really??  I don’t know about that one.  Deceitful?  Yes, definitely.  I don’t think it’s fair on either end.  I never planned this.  I never would have done this willingly.  I’m sorry..

And I’m freeeee…free fallin’, free fallin’.

C’est la vie.
